TLC Students Share Art and World View with Local Peers - January 12, 2012
Students from The Learning Center for the Deaf Invited to Tenacre Country Day School.
Students from The Learning Center for the Deaf (TLC) presented their art and their world view to students at Tenacre Country Day School at an "Understanding Differences Assembly" on Monday, January 9, 2012. TLC students taught Tenacre students American Sign Language (ASL) through stories, poems, and songs in sign. In addition, an art exhibit created by TLC students and titled, "Deaf Eyes" opened at Tenacre on January 9 and be available through January 13, 2012. In preparation for the exhibit, TLC students studied De'VIA and focused on the use of hands and ASL, Deaf "Eyes", and Deaf History.
