TLC strives to attract, develop, motivate and retain the most competent employees possible to aid in providing quality services to deaf children, adolescents, young adults, and the Deaf Community at large.
The Learning Center for the Deaf seeks to employ personnel who meet high standards of educational and occupational qualifications, who can advance within the organization whenever possible, who have the capacity for growth, and who will benefit the organization. Employees should exhibit the desire and the capacity to learn, grow, and improve their own performance to meet those needs of the students and families they serve. TLC thrives on the cooperative spirit of its staff and their ability to work as a team to provide the best educational environment possible for all students. To this end The Learning Center offers in-service trainings throughout the year based on requests for topic areas by the staff. In addition, attendance at special training events, conferences, or school may be authorized by the Executive Director.
