Audiology Clinic Receives Two Best of Best MetroWest Awards

November 02, 2020

The Learning Center for the Deaf Audiology Clinic has been named the 2020 Best of Best MetroWest in two separate categories.

The Clinic was awarded Best Audiologist and Best Hearing Aid Center in a recent virtual ceremony by MetroWest Daily News.

“To be recognized in this way is truly wonderful,” stated Lydia T. Colón, Au.D., CCC-A, Director of the TLC Audiology Clinic. “Our mission is providing comprehensive, accessible and compassionate audiologic services for all ages in MetroWest and beyond. We look forward to continuing to enhance our services and programs for children, adults and families.”

In the past year, the Audiology Clinic has increased access to their comprehensive audiological and hearing aid services. Last year, they were credentialed as a MassHealth provider, and expanded services to support members of the community — students, staff, families and MetroWest residents — who have cochlear implants.

In addition, TLC Audiology was the recent recipient of a Provider Access Improvement Grant Program (PAIGP), which will support the expansion of diagnostic testing as part of newborn hearing screening follow-up as well as replacing equipment essential to providing advance diagnostic services for patients of all ages.

The clinic was awarded the 2019 Best of the Best MetroWest Award for Audiology Clinic, and was a finalist in the Hearing Aid category the same year.  Also in 2019, TLC was named Organization of the Year by the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Audiology Clinic services include: complete diagnostic hearing tests, analysis of middle ear function, and hearing aid consultations, including sales, fittings, service, and repairs.

Our team of expert audiologists are fluent in English, Spanish and American Sign Language. Most commercial and public insurances accepted.

All proceeds from services provided and products sold benefit the children and families served by TLC.
