Soccer 2009:

Varsity Boys Team

Head Coach: Ben Urmston
Ben played soccer growing up on the Dover-Sherborn soccer teams. He was captain, MVP of his high school team, league All-star, played JV soccer at Colby College and an indoor soccer team in Antarctica. Currently Ben still plays on a mens 30 league and on indoor coed soccer teams. He coached the JV TLC team in 2007 and volunteered with the Varsity team. Ben has been coaching for the TLC Varsity team since 2008.

Varsity Girls Team

Head Coach: Mary Silvestri
Mary grew up playing soccer since the age of 7 in Danbury, CT. She played club soccer, district soccer, and on the competitive Sidekick Premier team. Mary was also a member of the US Deaf Women's National Soccer team from 2003-2006 and a Gold Medalist at the Melbourne 2005 Deaflympic games. Mary has been coaching the Lady Ghosts since 2004 and led the team to 3 GIL Championships. The Lady Ghosts won the Friendship Cup in 2007 and are looking forward to attending again this season. For her work with the Lady Ghosts and TLC's Coed soccer team, Mary was recognized as NDIAC Coach of the Year in 2007. She continues to play in local soccer recreation leagues for adults.

Varsity Girls Team

Head Coach: Peter Bailey
Peter coached 13 years in total with 5 different deaf schools and USA Men Team at Pan Am Games (Won gold medal). He won 5 ESDAA titles and named Coach of the Year by Frederick County Public Schools in MD and National Deaf Prep Schools Coach of the Year (Silent News). He also coached and won several Deaf Clubs regional championships including a national title.

Varsity Cheerleading Team

Head Coach: Carla Del Pizzo
Carla has been coaching the varsity cheerleading team and spirit squad since 2006. She and the team look forward to participating in the ESDAA cheerleading competition for the first time this year!
