* January 31, 2012: Game results:
• Galloping Ghosts clinched MBIL play-off spot!
Galloping Ghosts rallied to lead and hanged on to win by 12 points, despite team high 28 turnovers. Also, it was the first win in team history at a small gym of Cambridge School of Weston in many years!
Record - 12 wins 4 losses

• Lady Ghosts hanging on
Lady Ghosts got off to a quick start and hanged on to win over Elizabeth Seton Academy with the score, 33 to 22.
Record - 12 wins 8 losses

* January 20, 2012: Game Results -

Newman 54 JV Galloping Ghosts 52 - Double Overtime
Hotly contested match between JV Galloping Ghosts and Newman (which beat JV Ghosts by 25 points the first game). JV Ghosts rallied from 11 points down to lead but Newman rallied to tie and force overtime. Both teams exchanged leads down to the wire until Newman led and won by 2 points in double overtime. A great game performance!

Winchendon started off hot by hitting four straight three pointers. Galloping Ghosts adjusted defensively, built and gained the lead, as large as 16 points, and held on to win the game.

BUA 42 Lady Ghosts 33
Lady Ghosts had made several rallies to get back into the game but BUA's sizes and effective lob passes to taller players, ended Lady Ghosts' chance to end 2 game losing streak to BUA.

• Lady Ghosts 49 ASD 30
• A great all-around team performance by the Lady Ghosts in defeating Lady Tigers!
• Record: 10-5
• Galloping Ghosts 79 ASD 33
• A great all-around game performance by everyone on the squad!
• Record: 9-3

January 18, 2012:
• Lady Ghosts 40 Winchendon 36
• Lady Ghosts played against an improved Winchendon team. We had a rough start and were down by 10 at half time (20 to 10). The girls woke up in 2nd half and rallied to win with the score, 40 to 36.
• Record - 9 wins 5 losses

• MacDuffie 80 Galloping Ghosts 49
• Galloping Ghosts played against a new-look MacDuffie whose player stands at least 6-7 tall! The Galloping Ghosts were down by 1 at half time but MacDuffie blew away as they used size to their advantage against us.
• Record - 8 wins 3 losses

* January 13, 2012: Last Wedneday, both TLC basketball teams had hard fought games against league leaders Boston Trinity Academy (BTA). It was a low scoring, but thrilling game between the Galloping Ghosts and BTA as they exchanged leads down to the wire. It was so close but we didnt get the win. We lost by 3 point - 33-30.

The Lady Ghosts rallied after being down by double digits but timing was not on our side. We lost to BTA by 6 points.

The record for Galloping Ghosts is 8 wins 2 losses (Mass Bay Independent League - 3 wins, 2 losses - both losses to BTA).

The record for the Lady Ghosts is 8 wins 5 losses (Girls Independent League {GIL} - 4 wins, 3 losses).

* December 21, 2011: Due to lower numbers of student-athletes today, Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball teams will have basketball practice together at 4 pm for 2 hours. Pick up time is 6:15 pm. Cheerleading practice will be cancelled.

* December 8, 2011: The Galloping Ghosts Varsity Basketball game @ Convenant Christian Academy this Friday, December 9, has been POSTPONED. The reschedule date is MONDAY, DECEMBER 19 - a double header that day - girls game at 345 pm and boys at 515 pm.

The Galloping Ghosts JV team will have a home game on Friday against Newman School. Submitted by David Del Pizzo

* December 7, 2011: Determined Lady Ghosts ended 4 game losing streak and won a good game over defending league champion, Boston Trinity Academy (BTA), by the score, 45-43. The Galloping Ghosts lost a tough one against BTA, 49 to 28. Submitted by David Del Pizzo

* December 7, 2011: A change of time for basketball games tomorrow against Boston Trinity Academy (BTA) at Roxbury YMCA but same time of pick up TLC (9:30 pm)-
• Girls will play against BTA at 6 pm - team will leave at 4 pm
