Stephanie Johnson has exhibited all of the qualities that we in the math department deem of highest value, including tenacity when faced with novel problems and the determination to discover concepts on her own. In addition to her stellar ability of adopting mathematical concepts and using them fluently, Stephanie is also an excellent resource for her fellow classmates. She possesses patience when aiding other members of her group and truly embodies all of the aspects of the cooperative learning rubric we in the math department value greatly. She has proven to be a wonderful resource not only to her classmates, but also to her teacher who utilizes her skills to help strengthen his effectiveness. Thus, it is with great pleasure that Stephanie Johnson is the math department’s Student of the Term.
