We want to update the Galloping Ghost mascot logo to make it easier to view, and to ensure that it effectively communicates the talent, competitive spirit, and passion of our sports teams. In order to ensure that the updated logo reflects the spirit of our students, we have decided to create a logo contest.
Where will the updated logo be used?
On uniforms, other sports gear, signage, the floor of the gym, posters, social media.
What are the creative guidelines?
* The new version should be easy to use.
* It should use the existing colors (royal blue, white and black).
* It must be clear and legible in color, in black and white, and when used very small or very large. The logo may include the horse and rider, or just the horse.
* The horse should be more fierce, more competitive. Think nostrils flaring, smoke coming out, forward motion, lots of energy, etc.
Who is eligible to participate in the contest?
Any current student, staff or alumni is eligible to participate in the contest.
How does the contest work?
Please drop off your submission (in color or black and white) at the Office of Institutional Advancement at the White House by July 10 at 5 pm. Your submission must be printed on 8- 1.2 x 11 paper, and your name must be clearly printed on the back. Or email to email@example.com with .JPEG, high resolution file.
Voting will take place in the Schwab cafeteria and online from July 13 to July 17 to allow all members of our community to vote for their favorite. The winning design will be chosen on July 24, and be turned over to a professional designer to be cleaned up as necessary and converted to final art files for printing. Any student or alumni who enters the contest does so with the understanding that their design may be altered by the professional designer in order to match the school’s visual style guidelines.
We will unveil the new logo at Homecoming on September 26!!
