DR. ROZ ROSEN, an educator, author, and advocate, will share information on human rights in relationship to providing quality access to and acquisition of language by young Deaf people. Dr. Rosen will discuss the national Language Equality and Acquisition for Deaf Kids – Kindergarten Ready (LEAD-K) advocacy which focuses on ensuring age-appropriate language usage and understanding for Deaf and hard of hearing kids.
As part of her LEAD-K advocacy, Dr. Rosen is also on a book tour for her newest work, “DEAF CULTURE FAIRY TALES”, a collection of Deaf-centric twists on classical fairy tales and fables. She will read a couple of her stories and will autograph books you bring.
