
TLC's 10th Annual Gala honorees bios:

Linda Bove, a regular on television's Sesame Street for more than thirty years, is recognized by children as well their parents, all of whom grew up watching the program. Bove's award winning career began on stage with the National Theatre for the Deaf and includes television and film. She is a founding member of the Tony Award winning Deaf West Theatre and author of two sign language books Sign Language Fun and Sign Language ABC.

Governor Deval Patrick was elected in November of 2006. The Commonwealth's first African - American Governor, Deval Patrick came into office with a grassroots message of hope, community and hard work. By focusing on transparency and inclusion, he hopes to increase accessibility to government and encourage the civic engagement so crucial to shared progress in education, health care, economic development and other issues.

Dr. Benjamin J. Soukup, founder and chief executive officer of CSD (Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc.), a national private, nonprofit organization serving deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Gallaudet University, Soukup is widely acclaimed in Deaf America for having spent over 30 years as an advocate for deaf and hard of hearing people.
