Community Programs

The Learning Center for the Deaf offers several program designed to support and educate children and adults in the MetroWest area and beyond.  Through these programs, we serve over 1,500 families annually.

ASL Classes: We offer evening ASL Classes 2-3 nights a week on our Framingham campus.

Audiology: We operate an Outpatient Audiology Clinic on our campus which is open to the public and which accepts many different insurance plans.

Walden Community Services: A family center process which brings a team of caregivers together to focus on meeting the individual needs of the client. The Walden Wraparound program is the only provider in Massachusetts able to offer comprehensive services to families with a Deaf or hard of hearing member.

Public School Partnerships: Providing consultation and training to local school districts who serve deaf or hard of hearing students in a mainstream environment.

Interpreting Services: Providing communication access for local businesses so they can better serve deaf clients.

Parent Infant Program: Providing early intervention programs for deaf infants and their families.

Deaf Cultural Center: An on-campus museum dedicated to preserving and sharing Deaf Culture experiences and artifacts.

Center for Research & Training (CRT): Providing research, assessment tools, professional development test translation and more.
