TLC's Signs of Spring Gala Registration Now Open!
Preparations are in full swing for The Learning Center for the Deaf's 18th Annual Signs of Spring Gala! We are looking forward to hosting a fun, interactive evening to help raise vital funds for the Badavas Parent Infant Program. Visit our Signs of Spring website at www.tlcdeaf.org/Spring2017 to be part of what is sure to be a memorable event!
This year, for the first time, we are hosting the gala on our campus in Framingham, Massachusetts. You won't want to miss it! The evening will include:
- ASL Storytelling Demonstrations
- Mini ASL Classes (learn some Signs of Spring!)
- Silent Auction, Raffle, and Contests
- Live Auction with Sherry Truhlar from Red Apple Auctions
- and more!
How can you be part of making this a fun, memorable event and help us raise $120,000
to support the infants and families we serve?
Our Auction will focus on the most popular items:
- Restaurant Gift Cards - always a hit, we're looking for gift cards from restaurants in the greater Boston and MetroWest area
- Wine and Spirits - donate individual bottles or a gift basket of your favorites
- Tickets to Events - we're looking for tickets to Boston sporting events AND local and regional cultural events
- Vacation Getaways - we'd love one night or weekend hotel getaways and week long stays at special destinations
- Made with Love from TLC - we'll be featuring items made by our staff and students
(TIP: Have extra credit card loyalty points? Consider exchanging them for restaurant or hotel gift cards to donate to the auction!)
Individual tickets to the event start at $175. Staff and families (current and alumni) in our programs receive a discount and can purchase tickets for $125 each. And, because we want you to come with a group of your friends, we are selling "Party Packs" of 10 tickets for $1,000. That's only $100/ticket!

The Learning Center for the Deaf is dependent upon the generosity of donors--including our families, friends and local business partners. By sponsoring this event or donating an auction item, you are providing vital funds for our Badavas Parent Infant Program and helping us offer the programs that have made us a nationally recognized leader in Deaf Education.
The Badavas Parent Infant Program (PIP) provides support and training for deaf and hard of hearing children and their families in a language-rich bilingual-bicultural environment. Families—referred through local Early Intervention centers—participate in parent support groups, child playgroups, home visits, individual sessions with a licensed Speech/Language Pathologist (as needed/requested), and classes in American Sign Language. Services received are determined by a child’s IFSP (Individual Family Service Plan).
The Learning Center for the Deaf (TLC) is a nationally recognized leader in educational, therapeutic, and community services for deaf and hard of hearing children and adults.
Headquartered on a 14-acre campus in Framingham, Mass., The Learning Center For The Deaf provides comprehensive educational and support services to over 1,500 children and adults annually from 94 communities in Massachusetts and 12 additional states.
