The Learning Center for the Deaf (TLC) welcomes Isidore Niyongabo as its new Chief People Officer.
Isidore will join the Human Resources team at TLC, supporting human-centered vision, talent management and acquisition; training and development; performance management: compensation, benefits,, organizational development, and diversity and inclusion in collaboration with the CEIO.

Isidore received his SHRM-SCP certificate from the University of Texas (Austin). He most recently worked as Director of Human Resources for Convo Communications, where he helped identify and implement employee relations practices, and established measures to promote diversity and drive equal access to opportunity and advancement, among many other notable achievements.
Prior to joining Convo, Isidore spent five years working with San Diego Youth Service as a Residential Counselor for At-risk Deaf youth.
As the current President of National Black Deaf Advocates (NBDA) Inc., Isidore’s leadership helped tripled NBDA’s revenue and increased the organization's public presence and fundraising goals.
Isidore serves on the Disability Advisory Committee for the Federal Communication Commission Disability Advisory, and is the Founding Executive Director for International Deaf Education, Advocacy & Leadership (IDEAL), Inc.
Isidore has signing fluency in ASL and five Sign Languages used in the East African Community. He also has professional writing fluency in English, French, Kirundi (Native), and Kinyarwanda.
