Cummings Foundation Grant

TLC is proud to be the recipient of a $225,000 grant from the Cummings Foundation for the Walden Community Services outpatient clinic that provides mental services for the deaf and hard of hearing community.

The grant will help TLC address the deaf mental health gap and expand services by increasing access to licensed professionals skilled in linguistically and culturally competent psychiatric, psychological, and counseling care for underserved deaf people.

The Yass Prize

The Learning Center for the Deaf was selected as a semifinalist for the nationally recognized The Yass Prize and Center for Reform in 2024.

TLC received $200,000 to support its programs and services, including its two Deaf schools, Marie Philip School and Walden School, which serve deaf and hard-of-hearing youth and adolescents from Pre-K to Grade 12+.
