June 28, 2022

Marie Philip School (MPS) at The Learning Center for the Deaf (TLC) has welcomed Kevin Cronin as Assistant Vice Principal for the middle and high school.

Kevin joins Jessica Greenfield, who recently accepted the Principal position at MPS Secondary after serving as Interim Principal for the past two years.

Kevin began his Deaf Education career in 2000 at Jean Massieu Academy School for the Deaf in Arlington, Texas. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he simultaneously served as adjunct ASL faculty while attaining his Master’s degree in Deaf Education.

For the last 22 years, Kevin has taught in classrooms throughout several states, as well as served in leadership positions such as Athletic Coordinator, Dorm Director, and most recently the Director of NTID Regional STEM Center.

Not only did he leave with a degree and enthusiasm for bilingual education, but also a love for the local sports. Kevin loves to play golf, tennis, pickleball, baseball/softball, basketball, bowling, and go camping.

He joins TLC with years of experience and knowledge, as well as a thirst for continued learning.

These two positions fulfill a well-rounded leadership approach to the MPS Secondary Department and create a balanced support system for students, staff and families.
