TLC Welcomes Emily Roberts as New Fundraising Manager

The Learning Center for the Deaf has welcomed Emily Roberts as the organization’s new Fundraising Manager.

Emily was born and raised in Texas and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University, as well as a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain and Marketing from Arizona State University.

Prior to joining TLC, Emily built her career in animal welfare, working across a wide range of settings including zoos, rescue organizations, veterinary practices, and even live stage productions featuring performing animals. Throughout her career, she has worked with many species, including wolves, lemurs, and ostriches. Most recently, she served as Clinic Manager at Bond Vet in New York City and Executive Director of the Cortland County SPCA in upstate New York.

Emily joins TLC's Advancement Department, where she oversees the organization’s fundraising events and supports grant research, donor engagement, and philanthropic initiatives that expand opportunities and advance TLC’s mission.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys photography, sight-seeing, and spending quality time with her partner, Ali, and their dog, Ember.
