The Learning Center for the Deaf hosts a special Legislative Day biannually for our local constituents, Representatives, and school liaisons to see firsthand the incredible impact our programs have on our Deaf students.

This event showcases stories from our students, staff, and family members who are positively impacted by our bilingual, bicultural campus environment, a community of Deaf leaders and mentors, and wraparound services to support the needs of each individual student.
We recognize the important role our Legislators play to help support, preserve, and advance proposals to advocate for equitable access to education and health for deaf and hard of hearing.
We value this opportunity to connect with our local officials to continue to advocate for the resources and training for those who work for, and with, the Deaf community.
