About Us
The TLC Advancement Team is a a diverse mix of professionals who provide support for all our service programs, schools and communities.
With expertise in philanthropy, marketing, community relations, giving opportunities and customer service, our Advancement Office can enhance the "TLC Experience" in a variety of ways, from visiting campus to Alumni activities. We are ready to support any request from current and prospective customers, students and families, community members and fellow Deaf-led agencies and organizations, including:

Advancement Staff
Dwight received his MBA from the University of Houston-Victoria, and his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is currently halfway through the courses required for the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate.
Prior to joining TLC, Dwight worked for six years at Deaf Pathway Global in Brentwood, TN, where he was the director of strategic operations. His work included writing grant proposals and engaging fundraising efforts as a part of a collaborative team.
In his role, Dwight will oversee the research, writing, and management of local and federal grant work to support TLC’s services, while increasing programmatic growth through fundraising efforts, donor relations, marketing and communications.
Stephanie, affectionately known as “Ruiz,” has a passion for adventure and world travel - she has visited more than 30 countries! Ruiz currently works as a Visitor Relations Specialist and member of the Advancement Office at TLC, in addition to being a Community ASL Instructor.
She was an Education Teacher at a Deaf school in Ghana from 2016-2018 as part of her time with the Peace Corps, enjoys snowboarding and cooking international cuisine.
She received her Bachelor’s in Media Design, Photography and Graphic Design at Gallaudet University.
Blaine has more than 15 years of experience working in marketing, public relations and corporate communications.
Prior to joining TLC, she worked in the nonprofit healthcare industry for over a decade.
Blaine received her Bachelor's in Communications from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. After a brief stint in journalism, she transitioned to marketing and has never looked back! Blaine is inspired by the staff, families and community within The Learning Center for the Deaf every day.
