Culture and Environment
Our Communication Guidelines for Employees, created by a group of Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing employees, affirm American Sign Language as the primary language on campus, and encourage employees who are learning ASL to sign to the best of their ability. All employees at TLC receive free ASL classes to build fluency.
In 2019, The Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing awarded TLC as Outstanding Organization of the Year, acknowledging our commitment to American Sign Language and the broader community.

Our campus is conveniently located approximately 25 miles east of Worcester, and 23 miles west of Boston. The Framingham/Worcester Commuter Line runs frequently throughout the week, and the city also has several municipal parking lots. The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority bus stops directly across the street from campus at St. Patrick's Manor. Please view the bus route here, and the MWRTA website here.
Planing a weekend getaway? Go directly to your terminal at Boston Logan International Airport onboard Logan Express Framingham! Rideshare services, including Uber and Lyft, are also available.

VOLUNTEER AT TLC
We often work with individuals who are interested in volunteering. Our volunteers help out in a variety of ways, from assisting with events to beautifying our campus. A volunteer may help in the library or assist teachers with classroom projects. We have groups of volunteers from local businesses, schools and houses of worship who come to campus to assist however they are most needed -- from painting to planting!
