Communication Guidelines

Did you know American Sign Language is the primary language of communication on campus?
Those new to our community, or learning American Sign Language, are encouraged to use ASL to the best of their ability.
Interpreter services are scheduled in advance for visitors who are new to ASL to ensure that communication is barrier-free.
Our goal is that all individuals on our campus, from students to employees to clients to visitors, feel included, respected and welcomed.
Deaf Cultural Center

Our Deaf Cultural Center, housed in the historic Kellogg home, showcases curated artifacts of Deaf history throughout the ages. Our Deaf History Mural, developed by renowned Deaf artist Chuck Baird, offers a stunning chronology of Deaf history.
Community Events

We host a wide range of events and activities on our campus from ASL performances to professional development trainings for interpreters and teachers to arts and craft fairs to conferences. Our campus is available for local community and Deaf organizations and clubs. Please contact us if you are interested in using our campus facilities for your next event or meeting!
Sporting Events

Our Galloping Ghosts home games are played on our main campus inside the Schwab Gymnasium.
Athletics that we offer include: soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, track and field, and softball. We compete against local private schools, as well as schools for the deaf around the country.
